About

About

I’ve been telling stories since 2016. I once received a message from a stranger saying my first short film ‘Floppy Toast with Drippy Butter’ had “saved their life.” You never forget messages like that and this is why I continue to tell stories.

I grew up watching John Hughes and Steven Spielberg films and was in awe of the storytelling. For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a fascination with how films are made. When DVD’s introduced behind the scenes extras, I’d watch these more than the actual film.

Following my years attending art school, composition has always come naturally to me. How a scene is framed, ultimately impacts how a viewer feels and story always comes first. I have a highly creative mind that I channel into every project I’m part of. It’s important to me to have a good relationship and understanding of how each department operates. This means that sets run smoothly, on schedule and within budget.

I’m part of Directors UK, the professional association of UK screen directors. I’m also a BAFTA Connect member and a patron of Beacon Films, a local production company of disabled, autistic and neurodivergent filmmakers. I enjoy working on other sets and am always on the look out for director shadowing opportunities. I was recently on set of a new TV drama called The Red King (2024), shadowing Daniel O’Hara.

I come from a blended family and have lost a parent. I understand the strain and how family dynamics can change. My eldest brother is blind so I fully appreciate the issues around inclusion and diversity. My vision is to highlight stories for a more inclusive and sustainable industry.

I’d really appreciate it if you could now take some time to read up on my projects and watch my latest showreel. Thanks for dropping by and I hope to see you on set soon.
